Recently I had the pleasure of meeting crane operator Rob MacFarlane.

At the moment, he’s not operating any ordinary crane.

MacFarlane is on the crew for Daniel Libeskind‘s latest Toronto project, the L-Tower. His ‘office’ is 720 feet above street level.

After enjoying Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield’s photographs from the International Space Station, MacFarlane got an idea.
